Bayala Safari Lodge and Bayala Founders Lodge each have 24 airconditioned, en-suite rooms, sleeping a maximum of 48 guests at each. Options include Standard or Superior rooms, some of which have inter-leading doors which are perfect for families travelling with young children.

Our cuisine, freshly prepared by our locally trained chefs, is a celebration of tasty, traditional South African fare and served in our outdoor eating areas under the stars whenever possible.

Directions:
From Durban airport it takes around 3 hours to get there. Drive north on the N2, past Richards Bay and Empageni, remain on the N2, passing the town of Hluhluwe. Turn off the N2 at the Bayala sign, behind the Total Garage on the right. Follow the dirt road and go over the railway line. Turn right and about 1km further turn left and go through the Mun-ya-wana Game Reserve gate. Continue further until you see a signboard on your right indicating Bayala. Turn right and continue following the signs to the Safari Lodge or Founder’s Lodge. Travel distance is roughly 10km from the N2.
Bayala is situated in the Southern part of the Munyawana Game Reserve, one of KZN’s premier private game reserve destinations which comprises of Phinda Private Game Reserve and Zuka Private Game Reserve. This incredibly diverse conservation area is close to 30,000 ha of unspoiled wilderness, and borders the iSimangaliso Wetland Park which is a world heritage site.
