Chromadeck Signs:
Chromadeck signs are manufactured using an enamel coated and baked steel sheet between .6mm and .8mm thick. Chromadeck comes in a variety of colours but white is the most common used.
To add rigidity to the sheet a 25mm square tubing is welded up onto which the sheet is then pop riveted.
A standard sheet size is 1225mm x 2450mm. If the sign needs to be bigger the sheets can be panelled. In this way very, large bill boards can be manufactured.

Correx, ABS & Perspex:
There are many different kinds of plastic sheets that vinyl lettering can be applied to. The most common (which also come in a variety colours) plastics are: 

Perspex: 
A rigid plastic sheet between 3mm and 20mm thick with a high gloss surface finish both sides. Normally used in higher quality more expensive signs, e.g. Office signage. Perspex has a very good outdoor life span.

ABS: 
More flexible than perspex and is much more economical. Though not as glossy and perceived quality is not as high. ABS also come in much thinner sheets, between .8mm to 5mm. It’s most common purpose is used for escape route and fire signage in buildings.

Correx: 
A light inexpensive and fluted plastic sheet. Does not have a long outdoor life span and is generally used as temporary signage. It’s most common use is for Estate Agent boards. Other plastic sheeting that can be used is Forrex, UHI, Polycarbonate, Polystyrene and Agro Glass. These sheets have many of the same properties as Perspex and ABS.

Illuminated signs: 
Illuminated signs can come in different forms, for example;
Light boxes, these are manufactured from Aluminium extrusion with fluorescent tubes inside covered with either a digital printed Flex Face or Perspex face depending on the size and preference of the client.
