Hello! Here's a little about Carol....
Carol J. Amato is a writer, editor, small business writing coach, and speaker. She has published 30 books, over 200 articles, and two short stories. Her articles have appeared in national publications, and she was a regular contributor to high-tech magazines, such as PC Novice and Smart Computing.
Her writing and editing services are highly customizable and take into account what the client wants. Her specialty is taking complex information and making it easy to understand. As a writer, she has produced papers, reports, proposals, application software end-user documentation, policy and procedure manuals, articles, newsletters, training guides, brochures, and other marketing materials for small and large companies, including those in the high-tech arena.
As an editor, she serves small-to-medium-sized businesses, major publishers, and magazines. She maintains the original writer's style and tone, making only the revisions that are necessary. Her client list includes major publishing houses such as Tab/McGraw-Hill and Marshal Cavendish, a division of Time-Life.
As a coach, she has conducted business-writing and software trainings for company personnel and implemented her user-friendly methods to show entrepreneurs, coaches, speakers, and other professionals how to write books based on their expertise. With her proven step-by-step Write Your Way to Wealth systems (Write Your Book and Publish Your Book), they can position themselves as experts, attract more clients, and skyrocket their businesses to the top of their industries.
She also conducts user-friendly workshops for college students regarding how to use the APA and MLA style guides. These styles are perplexing to many college students, and her workshops remove the stress factor out of this process.
Ms. Amato is also an author. Her recent titles include Maximize Your Competitive Edge: 17 Secrets to Make Your Small Business Look Like a Fortune 500 Company, The 5 Biggest Writing Mistakes Small Business Owners Make and How to Avoid Them, How to Start and Run a Writers' Critique Group, and The World's Easiest Guide to Using the APA, 4th Edition.
Her books for kids include the acclaimed series Breakthroughs in Science (The Earth, Astronomy, The Human Body, and Inventions), 50 Nifty Science Fair Projects, Super Science Project Book, and 50 Nifty Super Science Fair Projects. She is also writing a mystery series for middle-graders, The Phantom Hunters. The Lost Treasure of the Golden Sun is the first title, and The Secret of Blackhurst Manor is the second, due out in 2018.
Carol J. Amato holds a B. A. from the University of Portland (Oregon) and an M. A. from California State University - Fullerton (Fullerton, California).
She has appeared on television and radio shows and is a past board member of the Writers' Club of Whittier, a professional writers' critique group, and past-president of the Professional Writers of Orange County. She is also a member of three other critique groups. From 1988 -1993, she was a board member of the Orange County section of the Independent Writers of Southern California. She is listed in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in the West, and the World Who's Who of Women.
