The Hong Kong Society for Rehabilitation has established a social enterprise Livesmart in order to create employment opportunities and provide training for the disabled to contribute to the society again. Livesmart has dedicated to its purposes for 22 years and developed into six branches of rehabilitation store, two branches of health & organic stores and an online sales platform.

Besides hiring the disabled and people with chronic illness, we also offer sales training and career path for them through VRRC & other local organizations. We have searched extensively for our end users to supply high-quality and affordable rehabilitation supplies as well as organic and healthy food. Among recent years, our customers could also recommend products to each other through self help groups and mutual aid groups.

Sustainable Commercial Development

Livesmart has cooperated with other social enterprises to create crossover products and fulfill social responsibility. Meanwhile, with the government’s support (ESR Programme & Enhancing Employment of People with Disabilities through Small Enterprise Project), we have promoted our social value and products to the general public, achieving the sales growth with stability. As other social enterprises, we are facing the same threat, the rising rental fee. The employment opportunities we provide the disabled is closely related to our business growth.
