According to the biblical account, God listened to a plea from Moses and changed the water from bitter to sweet, giving them a temporary respite from thirst.

Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of pure, fresh water and seventy palm trees, and they camped there near the water. For Christians, Elim is a blessed place nourished by God’s grace. In our logo, the water drop represents the twelve springs and the leaves represent the palm trees.
