Celebration of Uniting Lives Together-
Marriage and Commitment Ceremonies

Your wedding day is one of the most important days in your lives together as you stand before your family and friends and declare your love for each other and commitment to each other in your own special way. The ceremony is the most important part of your day and the whole reason for the celebration that follows. Apart from a couple of compulsory elements, it can truly reflect your personality, style and desires. Here are the Top 5 Questions couples ask as they look for the right celebrant for them…

1.    How much does it cost for a Celebrant?
This is a great question and the prices vary greatly. A Registry Office wedding costs $533 with no personalization, 30 guests maximum and is located in Sydney. Local celebrants charge between $550 and $1200 with extra fees for travel, rehearsals, certificates. My services include a custom written ceremony including your love story and personalized vows. I also include the registered certificate from Births, Deaths & Marriages which normally costs extra- let me look after organizing it for you while you are off enjoying your honeymoon!
My fee includes a beautifully prepared ceremony with your love story included, a quality PA and microphone, your choice of music for before, during and immediately after the ceremony downloaded and ready to play, signing table and chair, registered certificate, rehearsal, meetings, all legals.
Despite the fact my ceremonies are bespoke, I charge $950 for ceremonies.
Without the ceremony, your wedding would just be an expensive party and I’ll put in many hours to craft the perfect ceremony for you. I hope you’ll choose me.

I can also be the MC for your reception if you would like! I help make the reception run smoothly, coordinate anything you’d like to do eg. Speeches, dances, bouquet/ garter toss and run any games eg. My version of the shoe game is always a hit! I charge $750 to perform the MC duties, making it just $1700 total to have me create a magical ceremony and there to help the reception run smoothly!

2.    Will you do what we want?
I know you are wanting to create a special ceremony that reflects who you both are- that sounds perfect! I’ll create a ceremony that is meaningful, memorable and magical.

3.    How long will it go for?
The ceremony can be relatively short if you’d like but usually ceremonies go for about 30 minutes. This of course depends on what elements you include for your special day.

4.    Do I have to write my own vows?
No, you don’t have to write your own vows unless you would like to. I’m happy to help you or even write them for you if needed. It is your day and we can do it in a way that makes you feel comfortable.

5.    Do you have my date and time available?
I’m very fortunate to be a busy and popular celebrant and whilst I can’t guarantee your date and time unless you book me, so get in touch. My availability can change, so to avoid disappointment, the best thing to do is to message, email or call me. Once you have booked me and paid a deposit of $200, your date is secure.

Thanks again for considering me and I look forward to talking with you soon. With the current pandemic situation, I'm meeting couples online on messenger video or zoom calls to chat about plans. Let’s catch up soon!

I know I’ll create a special ceremony for you but don’t just take my word for it! Here’s what one of my brides sent me via sms, the morning after her wedding at The Green Cathedral, up near Foster:

“All I can say is oh my god. You were our one. It was meant to be. Every single person said how amazing you were. It seriously could not of been any better. All our dreams came true. So thank you. You will be in our memories forever. I’m so glad we found you ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤”

Celebrations of Renewed Commitments and ReUniting in Love – Vow Renewals, Family Reunions

Whether you are renewing your vows to celebrate an anniversary or a reuniting, or coming together for a family reunion, these celebrations allow loved ones to come together and feel a renewed sense of love and togetherness. These events are meaningful and special and can be as momentous or as fun as you’d like.

If it is a Marriage/ Commitment Vow Renewal, we will acknowledge the love and commitment you have shared over the years of your bond and look to the future as you celebrate together.

Inclusions in the ceremony are as varied as your imagination. Perhaps you would like to have a new family portrait created or exchange eternity rings. There are so many ways to make the ceremony special and unique and Margie is here to help you craft something that will help you renew your vows in a memorable way.

If a Family Reunion is bringing the clan together, this is a time of establishing or identifying a sense of family belonging. Don’t let funerals be the only time the family gets together! A celebrant can bring a sense of structure to a part of the day to ensure that important things are said and a sense of event is created.

Inclusions in the ceremony are as varied as your imagination. Perhaps you would like to have a new family portrait created or have a sand ceremony with all the families adding different coloured sands to some special jars. There are so many ways to make the ceremony special and unique and Margie is here to help you craft something that will help you come together meaningfully.

Celebrating and Remembering Life-
Funerals, Memorials, Living Funerals, Ashes Scattering
When it is time to say goodbye, it is important to ensure that the character and spirit of your friend or family member is represented and cherished. This ceremony is an opportunity to celebrate and remember the life they lived and the love they shared. It would be my greatest honour at this difficult time to create a special, meaningful ceremony for your loved one.

Celebrating Animal Friends- Pet Farewells

Anyone who has experienced the death of an animal companion understands that the grief is real and there is a real need to farewell our pets in a meaningful way. It is important to ensure that the character and personality of your animal friend is acknowledged and the role they played in your lives and that you played in theirs.

Celebration of New Life –
Baby Namings
A Baby Naming Ceremony is an alternative to a baptism that allows for flexibility in beliefs and in location of where your ceremony is held. The Baby Naming can take any form you would like it to take from an informal backyard ceremony to a more formal naming ceremony and celebration. Regardless of how big or small, your Baby Naming Ceremony will be a wonderful opportunity to gather family and friends to welcome your precious new addition to the family.

Inclusions in the ceremony are as varied as your imagination. Perhaps you would like to print your baby’s handprint or have everyone present write a wish for the child’s life to go in a love jar for their 21st birthday. Maybe you’d like to give symbolic gifts to the baby or keep the baby’s name secret until the ceremony. There are so many ways to make the ceremony special and unique and Margie is here to help you craft something that will welcome your baby in a fitting way.

Welcome to our Family-
Fostering and Adoption Ceremonies

Welcoming a baby, child or young person into your family is a momentous occasion that deserves celebration and sends a clear message of inclusion to everyone involved. It is also a wonderful chance to make known to the world that your family has evolved and has grown to include a new member.

Inclusions in the ceremony are as varied as your imagination. Perhaps you would like to have a new family portrait created or unveiled or create a welcome banner for the child’s room and have everyone present write a wish for the child’s life to go in a love jar for their 21st birthday. Maybe you’d like to give symbolic gifts to the child. There are so many ways to make the ceremony special and unique and Margie is here to help you craft something that will welcome the child in a fitting way.

Celebration of New Phases in Life-
Business Openings, New Ventures, Retirement Celebrations,
Birthday Celebrations, Coming of Age Ceremonies, Stage of Life Rituals, House Warmings, Return to Health

Life is filled with opportunities to celebrate and sometimes all it takes is “someone to say a few words” to elevate your celebration from a gathering to an event. I will craft a ceremony that is fit for your purpose and completely meets your intentions for the ceremony. From ribbon cuttings to coordinating speeches and presentations to dancing around a fire, there are so many ways to make the ceremony special and unique and Margie is here to help you craft something that will help you create the ceremony to meet your needs.

Celebrations to Remember Love and Starting Anew-
Divorce and Separation Ceremonies

Whether your ceremony will involve you both in ending the relationship in a ceremonial way or just one of you gaining closure and release, a Divorce or Separation Ceremony can be very healing as it acknowledges what was, creates peace for the present and inspires hope for the future. If you have children, a Divorce or Separation Ceremony can help children understand that they are still loved and cherished by both parents, even though the family dynamic is changing.

Inclusions in the ceremony are as varied as your imagination.
If you are sharing the ceremony with your ex partner, perhaps you would like to light individual candles from a main candle and then blow out the main candle to symbolise the ending of the union and the beginnings of individual journeys.
If you are sharing the ceremony with your ex partner and your children, perhaps you might like to make vows together as parents to your children.
If you are not sharing the ceremony with your ex, you might like to make new vows to yourself or announce reverting to your maiden name.

Any way you choose to go, there are so many ways to make the ceremony special and unique and Margie is here to help you craft something that will help you acknowledge the change in journey meaningfully.
