Palmdale Stud was established in 1970 in the Palmdale Valley near Wyong on the Central Coast of NSW. Then over 18 years ago we relocated to Crystal Creek just near the border of NSW and Qld.
We are just over half an hour from Coolangatta
When we first saw this property we envisioned a café set right on the banks of Crystal Creek which certainly live up to its name. It’s truly a joy to gaze down from the cafe deck and see the tortoises in the crystal clear water in summer and the dinosaur like water dragons resting along its banks. Also the myriad of fish from tiny one inch long fish that the Azure Kingfisher swoops in to feast on, to the eel tailed cat fish guarding their nest to the large mullet, silver perch and occasional Australian bass. Keep an eye out for Whopper the mighty eel.
The property here is home to many native birds including yellow breasted robyns and the rainforest whip bird who is illusive.
Shy wallabies come down from the ridges to drink at the creeks edge
We have even seen platypus in the creek from time to time
Of course people come here to meet and greet our tiny animals.

We have been featured on many TV shows in the past and have recently had the crew from Totally Wild here with Ranger Stacey herself doing the presenting. What a lovely day we had as there was a new baby mini donkey born for the occasion. We named her Charlotte
At present there are about 40 mini horses, 7 mini donkeys including 2 babies and 9 mini cattle with one surprise along the way
It takes about an hour and a half to do the walking tour that involves stopping to meet and greet the animals with John’s expert care and commentary. John is very good with children from 6 months to 99 years. We are all children at heart.
We have now had three generations of people visit Palmdale Stud. People who visited us down south as children themselves, have come to Crystal Creek and now even brought their own children here to visit.
